The Divine Mercy image was revealed to St. Faustina Kowalska, a humble Polish nun, during a series of visions in the 1930s. Jesus appeared to her with rays of red and pale light flowing from His heart—representing the blood and water poured out for the world. He asked that this image be venerated with the words: "Jesus, I trust in You." This devotion reminds us of Christ’s unfathomable mercy and His invitation to trust in Him completely.
