Blessed Stanley Rother, a priest from Oklahoma, answered the call to serve in Guatemala, where he ministered with deep love to the Tz’utujil people. He translated the Bible into their native language and stood in solidarity with them during times of great danger. Despite threats to his life, he remained with his parishioners, ultimately giving his life for the faith in 1981. His legacy of courage and servant leadership continues to inspire modern-day missionaries and pastors.
